Wow, what a place! Creepy.

A more than great shot of the Angkor, I guess. Everything is great about this one. Normally I would say a little crop from the top could come good, but here it's just perfect the way it is!

Nice - really like the blackness inside the door. Fantastic network of roots wrapping it all up - where is it?

cferroni said 525 days ago:

I love the subject but somehow this lacks punch IMHO, not sure why...

King said 525 days ago:

Some door! It seems to me that this shot could benefit from darkening the edges and corners, thus making the area around the door lighter, by contrast. This is one of those lost Cambodian temples?

CraigMartin said 525 days ago:

Thanks for the comments all. The door is in Ta Prohm Temple at Ankor Wat in Cambodia, to me the most beautiful of the many beautiful temples there - it is the doorway through which Angelina Jolie disappears in the movie Tombraider.

Isn't the Angkor complex in Mianmar?

ArneG said 525 days ago:

Looks pretty dark in there

CraigMartin said 525 days ago:

@bioLarzen - no, it is in the town of Siem Riep in Cambodia.

CraigMartin said 525 days ago:

@Arne - what didn't you like about the shot?

philippe said 525 days ago:

Interesting door. Where's Indy?
:O)

bioLarzen said 525 days ago:

Craig,
thx for the info.

Mmmm, Angelina Joliiiiiie...

I am thinking that this is either Kyla or Craig's image.

mtmartini said 522 days ago:

Craig, I agree with King about adding a bit of a vignette, It would have given the image that little extra punch. Regardless it is a very nice shot. :)

CraigMartin said 522 days ago:

Thanks Tracy. I guess it needed that exrta puch! At 3.56, it isn't quite getting over the threshold...

Looking at it again, I think that there is also something lacking in terms of texture, which I think is due to the low light it was taken in. Regardless, I still think it is more interesting than some of the garage doors that got featured, but what do I know ;-)

philippe said 521 days ago:

I agree.
