What an odd door. It doesn't seem to fit at all with that building and its modern window. I guess on second look it is a metal door, but at first it seemed to be a wooden shack-like door. It still seems somewhat incongruous, but it lends a lot of impact to the shot because of that.

Great idea for a shot. For me though the drama is all on the wall and not on the foreground (the negative space--in this case, right?) which is an unattractive dark shape. If you cropped this even to the beginning of the wall on the right hand side, you'd lose a huge chunk of this foreground immediately--although I'd still suggest reshooting when the light and shadows are even MORE dramatic.

It's a GREAT shot waiting for the IDEAL conditions and COMPOSITION! That empty window is fantastic!

I actually wish the window and door weren't there and you could only see that fabulous shadow.

Average ratings and no comment in protest. My image (#117) is the ONLY image in the WHOLE of this theme that has received no comments. THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
