I saw your message about no comments on this shot. I'm sorry. I rarely leave comments because I lack the confidence to critique many times. I've also not been around much at all, things are really crazy around my home right now, insane actually.

As far as average ratings? That's the story of my life. I have photos on here that are quite popular and have sold for a fairly nice price and yet they rate like 2.3 overall here...so go figure?

This theme was really redundant and I think that had an affect.

My entry #19 got pathetic ratings and I thought it was pretty unique, and no photoshopping other than the basic RAW conversion and conversion to black and white was done. That is the actual photo, no double exposure, no photoshop tricks. Yet that silly Dog Balloon photo I submitted in the dog theme gets featured? So again...go figure?

One of the very first photos I submited in the hands theme of a violin players hands didn't even get a 2 in the ratings yet it was the first one I ever sold and someone paid $150 for it at auction where the start bid was $50, so who the heck knows.

I think this is a fine photo and I'm sorry no one more qualified than me has commented on it. I do like the tones very much and it fits the theme perfectly.

I try and live by the motto that if you can't say 'something' nice don't say anything at all.

So I saw yesterday that your image had not one comment, so being the good samaritan, I clicked on it and then all good intentions went out the proverbial window. I couldn't get past the lack of sharpness to the image and I had better things to do than, a) try and find something positive to say (good composition) or b) be mean and just say what I felt which goes against my opening motto.

If you have a beef about no comments why not use the google group to voice your thoughts.

Thanks for taking your feelings out on my photo. The forum is the place to post gripes, not on other images. I rate fairly and belabor over each one and leave comments when I can construct them methodically.

As for this one, I'm sorry but I'm going to have to echo about the lack of sharpness and composition, though I do like the color of the building and reflection and appreciate the attempt, and feel this warrants another go (or several) at a different time (or different times) of day.

BTW, there ARE lovely, lovely colors and shapes here.

I'll air my grievances in the place I think works best, and that's here where you all sit up and take notice, not the forum where it get's ignored. So you're telling me that all you have to do is put up an image that's totally in focus to get some attention round here? Don't make me laugh....lol!

It seems to me that this is part of your style. You are like a volcano, grumbling, steaming, belching, then letting go a big blast followed by a brilliant Featured image.

When things are going well for you, you are all jolly smiles and wit. When your images are passed over, you get surly and mean tempered and you lash out...followed by regret (we're waiting on regret).

You're certainly an interesting fellow. I know you're not a bad chap. What's going on?

@king, i agree about your results bro :).

My comment about this picture, just one. If you find the object like this, take a look a compotion and a perspection (diagonal,horizontal,vertical) play with it.
I think with a crop at photoshop will help you.

I give you 4/7 for this photo.
