You are being too honest here. Go ahead, boost the contrast and saturation. You've got a winner with this subject and your excellent composition. You can say you are going for subtlety, but I don't think that is possible with this strong image, so deeper colors and a shade more contrast would just heighten the drama. Good work. High marks.

Thanks very much for your input King. I did up the saturation and contrast on this before posting though (it was a very cloudy day). But I took another look at it and did a little more play and you're right, it makes the shot pop a little more. I love all those weathered textures of Italy. My favorite from this series is of the archway you see to the right in this shot, but alas, no doors or windows.
