Very striking. I have a photo of the St. Chapelle in Paris, but I didn't have the nerve to boost the saturation and contrast this much. Now I see that it might have worked. Quite snappy. High marks for going all the way with this.

no. it is a single shot.

eos 350d, ef-s 10-22@10
iso 1600, f:5.6, 1/5s
handheld, available light, no flash

postprocessing:
slight tonemapping to bring the details "out of the dark".
in photoshop a new layer, overlay blending mode, then high pass filter to accentuate the details, resize to WS size (750px), sharpen in luminance channel, save for web 395k size, done.

Very enjoyable cathedral pics. I just *have* to get a camera that creates RAW files. I went to my local camera store and fondled the 400D (called the Rebel XTi here) and the 10-22. It's on my Christmas list--either that or a new tee-shirt.
