Really beautiful.

Wonderful. Great detail in the feathers. Good lighting. The white line is a tad distracting, but minor complaint only. Like the reflection of yourself in the birds eye.

thanks guys.

uncommondepth, reflection of myself? you have a sharp eyes. i couldn't even see it in full res. :)

Really beautiful shot. The bird is so crisp and has a great sort of look. Quite a thoughtful pose. One annoyance is that conflicting band of white behind the beak. Detracts somewhat but these things are difficult to contrive, being 'Wild'. It is the expression I like most, haunting almost

What da magnifica of DOF.. well done it, I can feel the expression of this bird anyway, She Lovely being your model :)

uncommondepth said 849 days ago:

Hmm....well I thought it looked like a human form in the eye. Near the center there is a bit of a horizontal line, and then on the left it looks like a human figure with a bush beside it. Clouds above.

Perhaps, I just have an over-active imagination!

King said 849 days ago:

IMHO, the white band enhances the shot, provides great separation of the beak from the background, boosts the image contrast to good effect, and counter-balances the diagonal thrust of the bird shape.

George said 848 days ago:

Great shot. The white band works for me too in all the ways King describes.
