Very interesting perspective. I just wish that ledge wasn't in the frame.

Roofs! Very nice....although I'd be very careful trying to get these sorts of pictures. Weekly Shot isn't worth a fall and a broken neck.

You are too cute! Hence the ledge.
I have to say, I am very happy to be entering this group. You all are definitely going to help me raise the bar considerably on my work. I haven't really exposed myself to many true photographers and I think my eye has suffered for it. I'm glad you all are such tough graders and hope to get more feedback in comments as I go to help me train my eye and get more critical of what truly makes a good shot. It's nice that my family and friends all think I take nice shots but, you know...
Y'all are going to demand I stretch and I'm delighted for the opportunity. I jumped in to some themes that are not my tendency in terms of subject matter/style so this is expanding me in more ways than one.

Doesn't scream wide, but very intriguing image!! Great subject.

I *LOVE* this! Back story, please. High marks, of course.

LauraYoung, you were invited by George, which about as high a recommendation as you can get around here--in my humble opinion.

Nice "from the sky" textures, makes a great patchwork and composition - where is this ?

Thanks everyone! This was in a teeny little town in Italy, Soriano nel Cimino. A bit south of the Tuscany area. If you want to see a crazy place, though, do a search for Civita de Bagnoreggio. Looks like something out of Lord of the Rings, just the tiniest of towns perched on a peak with a long walkway to get to it. Only 15 people reside there currently.
