Beware the evil chili cat who rules all she sees!

I think I might have liked it more if kitty was looking at the camera. Plus, the distracting object on the left keeps getting my attention. Looks like a sandwich. Maybe a salami sandwich with eggplant and Asagio?

So what's the story Steve?!?!

King said 461 days ago:

This tolerant cat looks kinda butch to me...tough guy. I guess the peppers remind me of a spiked collar. What's going on here? I must know.

King said 461 days ago:

@George...you've got salami on the brain! But eggplant's recipe sure sounds good, don't it?

"Oh, the indignity! Really man, do I look like I care about your stupid chili festival?"

What a fun theme! This photo sums up the indignity that this poor cat has suffered ever since we had our first child 4 1/2 years ago.

Max, short for Maxine, is indeed a rather butch cat. She has a short temper and is quick to hiss and even swat (but rarely actually scratches and hardly ever bites) especially at little humans who seem to think all things fuzzy and cute deserve smothering.

I acquired that "thing" around her neck (it's a bracelet of sorts) while at a trade show last weekend, which came with a matching chili pepper bead necklace (think Mardi Gras meets 5o de Mayo) as I knew my preschooler would enjoy them. I was greeted by this sight Sunday afternoon, just after lunch time.

Max is proud, but not proud enough not to beg for food. The thing on the left is a left over grilled cheese sandwich.

Ha! I wouldn't have recognized this cat, but I have met her...and yes, she's described perfectly. Fun story Steve!

King, I don't eat salami much, but I'm prone to have it on the brain. Eggplant's recipe sounds fantastic. I gotta try it. For those who are interested:

"On a French Baguette, put multiple layers of salami, one layer of thinly sliced eggplant, one layer of Asiago cheese, moisten the bread inside with olive oil that has been infused with crushed red pepper. Wrap in foil and grill for 10 minutes on each side."

Wonderful and expressive! I think this will have a shot a being featured. VIVID!

I am the cat and just wait until you are sleeping and I will get my revenge for you making me wear this large chili pepper looking collar.
