I guess the P on the hat is for Pelican. This is strange/goofy/funny. The guy in the suit appears to be some kind of mascot, and the birds don't seem the least bit shy. My guess is that he has something in the box that they want. Okay, where, what?

The story:

I went to the Northwest Florida Wildlife Refuge during their open house, to get some shots of birds of prey, bobcats, raccoons, etc. At the event you could pay $2 to feed fish to the pelicans from a little gazebo over the water. I turned the corner just in time to see Scoop (the mascot of our local minor league baseball team, the Pensacola Pelican) finishing up his turn. This was a quick snapshot, but it was just too funny to pass up.
