I like your comments better when you aren't rushing to post one of your images. Why don't you respond when people leave you comments? It seems like you rarely do, but you have a way with words.

@zorilla...well done, sir!

This fits the theme perfectly, IMHO. The two lads are impeccably fitted out, including boutonnieres. Being a life-long American, I don't recognize the outfits and assume them to be some kind of British formal dress, perhaps clergy (because of the collars), but drinking clergy!

There's great tension in the scene, with the two standing in the middle of the street, it seems, with others moving to either side. Although the lighting is rather flat, there is good color and contrast in the scene. I note that you don't tend to go overboard with processing and you are conservative in your cropping--both good things, in my opinion.

There seems to be a slight amount of softness in both of the central characters, moreso the buy on the left, and I suppose this is because the weren't holding totally still for this relatively long exposure...1/15th second? I don't suppose your camera was on a tripod. Was this hand held? Does your camera or lens have image stabilization?

Well done. Mainly high marks.

I can't decide if you are British or an American ex-pat living in England. I don't mean that with any ill intent. I'm just curious because your wit is so cutting/biting/cynical...very British...but you write with an American style.

So, are you a Brit?

This was taken on Rememberance Day '06 in London - the boutonnieres are memorial poppies.

After all the pomp, circumstance and sadness of reflecting on lost colleagues, even the most devout padre deserves to whet his whistle and catch up on news from the land of the living.

I was being hurried up by a traffic cop as I was crossing the road snapping this.

Thanks for the comments.

I guess there's a little part of me that wonders about these two well dressed men chatting while others pass by.

Nice shot. The blur of the passers by shows how the world can just float on while you have a beer in hand. Great thing beer.

Okay, so have you heard the one where a priest, another priest, and ___ walk into a bar.... at least that's my take on this one.

Okay, so now I feel bad about my comment, but I do really like the shot.
