My first impression was, a couple of ladies enjoying a smoke in a bar. Then I noticed they were holding hands and now I'm not so sure that's a lady on the left. I'm bumping up my relevance rating because on second look, this picture got more intriguing.

I like the intimate point of view here, and the emotion has an impact. I don't think I like the green tint...I think the image would be more effective in just black and white.

This is a photograph about smoking cigarettes, in my opinion, and not about the people smoking them. As I find cigarettes to be truly disgusting, my reaction to this image is to dislike it intensely and not even to leave a comment. But that behavior would not be in the the spirit of W.S., would it?

Perhaps it is the photographer's intention to disgust the viewer, so that makes me wonder why s/he took this photo. Okay, so it's relevant and has impact. Technically, it's not bad, but not so good as to outweigh the negative factors.

So a mixed bag of ratings on this. What's the story?
