This needs quite a bit of technical help. Color adjustments, photographer's shadow, overexposure, etc. Looks like the story is pretty obvious too. Am I missing something that would make this shot more relevant?

Ana said 526 days ago:

what is it that she's reading? is that your shadow on her ankles? is this a scan of an old photo? the colours seem very green.

eggplant said 526 days ago:

Interesting perspective. I think she's reading someone's diary.

john said 526 days ago:

sometimes the green and yellow tones can work.

a lot of distraction to me. the ladys head in the background, the shadow of the photographer on the feet, and the crooked horizon.

King said 526 days ago:

Lake Como? Bit of a crotch shot, don't you think? Sets a nice mood, though, and makes me want to be there (not because of the girls). If there is a story, it's probably a travel/vacation story and nothing in this photo tells me that it won't be banal. Enjoyable to look at, however.

King said 526 days ago:

@JimJim...you (your photo, that is) are getting beat up here. What's the story? :>)

JIMJIM said 526 days ago:

well, thank you every commenters and thank you King ;-)
the story is that I'm re-discovering some shots from a trip around the world I made in year 2000..-I know the image has no exact "artistic" greatness but I thought it would be enough intriguing for the theme (or at least I like it - not the coming ratings I guess :-(
@thanks for your (almost) kind comments and technical tips, I already know that ;-))
@eggplant ; i think you are right ;-)
@ana : good point to ask so many questions : and to all of them I will respond : YES
@john : thanks anyway ;-))
@king (again) : i wish i could post 10 images here on this theme, so thanks again ;-))

smkpl said 526 days ago:

High marks. In this case you might want to know the "where" before the "what"

King said 526 days ago:

JIMJIM...how irritating. Is this Lake Como in Italy or is this *not* Lake Como in Italy. Is that too much to ask?

Around the world? Which direction? What countries? Meet any chicks? (oh, those are chicks up there).

I flew around the world last year. Nobody cared. Nobody asked questions. Nobody seemed interested in the least.

Hummingbird said 526 days ago:

I think this is "What's the Story" in the literal sense.

JIMJIM said 526 days ago:

@Hummingbird : clever - and thanks for the rating too (I'm really getting *higher* ;-))
@smkpl : thank you. Where ? Hmmmm.., not sure !!
@King : you are so incredibly funny !!! to (not) answer the "where" question this is *not* Lake Como in Italy !! (you are going to *hate* me.. ;-))

Montage said 526 days ago:

Can't imagine there's a whole lot of a story behind this shot. But maybe I'm missing something.

zulu said 525 days ago:

After a long time watching this, only now I understand the relevance. The problem was, I don`t notice the book in their hands, about looking only her body.I think most feel that way.But now I can give you 5 for relevance, impact and composition ;)

JIMJIM said 525 days ago:

Thank you zulu for your kind words and for taking the time !!
The "What's the story" is mainly about the pink book in her hand and the angle of the image, so Bravo !!..but I 'll tell more later ;-))
@King&smkpl : this image was shot in Croatia !!
