... he found time to pray, for the end of this awful war, for a return to sanity, for the incessant ringing in his ears to finally cease. Mostly he just wanted to go home.

wonderful take...only thing i would've done is to cut out the guy on the right..he's alittle distracting..

Kadenajack, you have put into words my feelings exactly, thank you.
Tanja, I actually like the guy on the right in the shot. I feel he helps 'set the scene'.

I don't know when or where you took this, but the guy on the right's hat makes him look like he's straight out of World War I. Clearly you didn't take it then, so is this a movie set or am I misinterpreting the uniform.?

Almost spot on! WW2. It was taken on Redcar sea front last summer as they shot some scenes replicating the Dunkirk evacuation for the film "Atonement", due to be released June/July time. It was amazing to see the sea front transform into a French town, especially the last few days before shooting began.
I'm really looking forward to seeing the end result once the film is released.

More movie stills. I like the other one better on many levels, but this is good work. Even though I like the other one better, I have to give you equally high marks here.

...even if you *didn't* take #14. LOL.
