i don't get the point.

I'm guessing we're looking up at something. I don't see a story though.

@Zulu This is the "atomium". the belgian national monument.
@methan don't get the point? isn't it the theme ? :-) creating interrogation to the folks ?
gembase said 652 days ago:
@kadenajack there is a story behind this monument.
Designed by engeneer André Waterkeyn for the universal exposition of 1958, the Atomium is a building in between sculpture and architecture. It symbolize a Iron molecule at the size of his atoms, multiplied by 160 000 000 000

Vertigo for sure

First thought, taken from the International Space Station. This appears to be upside down, but looking up at some kind of sphere, from the vantage point of a landing on the stairs. Very dramatic and vertigo-inspiring. High marks, in general.

I am certainly confused...perhaps even a bit dizzy. This fits the theme.
Ana said 652 days ago:
this is very confusing. Interesting, but confusing. So yeah. questions.

I saw you writing in the google group, and thought I'd comment. Not knowing what this is AT ALL is what is tough for the viewer. There's no clue as to what the story might or might not be, because we can't guess what we have to begin with. I think that is what is puzzling here. If there were some sort of solid image to grab onto, we'd be able to ask questions about it, but not knowing what is there, is what is tough. It's very abstract, and I think that pulls away from the theme.

Well-stated, Ana.
gembase said 651 days ago:
thx for the anwer ana and king.
I admit this is really abstract. maybe I was a bit too focussed on the "make us want to know
more about the subject;" part of the theme explaination.
I'll try to be more accurate next time.

'the subject' being the main words there.
We didn't have a subject to ask about!
It's a great abstract shot though, and I did wonder what it was!

I echo Ana's thoughts. We really couldn't wonder about the story since we had no idea what we were looking at. Perhaps you translated the theme to mean "What is this?" That's certainly an understandable nuance of language.
I applaud your efforts to participate in a site in a non-native language. I've never looked to see if there is one, but I can't imagine trying to participate in a site like this in anything other than my native tongue.

Very interesting...the first question is, what is this?
