Tracy, It was a total surprise to see this shot here. A friend and I were once laughing so hard somewhere in Beverly Hills that we were threatened with arrest! We looked at each other and then back at the woman who made the threat...and then laughed even harder :-)))

Kidding. There's lots to speculate about. The gentle touch on the knee contrasted with the apparent scream and the little mallet ...

Photographically, it seems a little snap-shottish. The direct flash leaves a shadow on the wall and the composition doesn't add much to the story. Maybe if you'd moved closer with a wider angle on the zoom ( I assume it's a zoom ) and letting the room light add some character to the faces that the flash has washed out.

Ok so here's the story:

George and Gina were over at my house one evening, and we had this comic saved on Tivo that we just "had" to show them. His name is Louis C.K. He's funny, but if you have children, especially young ones, he is just hysterically funny. It really hits home. In fact my wife seriously attributes this HBO special to helping her go into labor with our 2nd daughter. (She gave birth the day after we first saw it).

During the evening shown in the photo above, I got the idea to take shots of folks in true, undeniable hysterics. This is one of those shots. Unfortunately, it's one of the better ones (thanks King, for understanding!!!)

Every time I look at this I just crack up, 'snap-shottish' or not. I am wishing I gave it more than 4's across the board because knowing George's gentle nature, it seems out of character that in this photo he almost looks like he is going to backhand the woman next to him. (his wife I presume)
