very relevant, but would have liked a better composition, framing and lighting for this. really love the idea of it.

Thanks for your comments. Funny how different people see different things; the focus of this photo is the arm of atlas supporting the weight of the world. The rest of the man and world are left to the imagination. This is one of my favourite photos of my favourite sculpture, which can be found in the garden of Castle Howard, North Yorkshire. Needless to say I have taken numerous shots from various angles - one of which you may have liked better :-)

well, I gave you a five for relevance.... I guess my mind just wants more?? I want to see it all? I don't know. Like I said, Love the idea, but I'm left feeling as if I'm missing something..

Perfect relevance. I find the blown-out background distracting. I do like the composition--a small part suggesting the whole.

I would have preferred to see a less severe crop. You do zero in on the "weight" aspect which is good, but I think there could be more to this photo than the crop permits. Just an opinion.

I like the double connection to the theme: the weight of holding the earth (or whatever the round object is) and the scales shown along the side of the earth. However, the image doesn't quite do it for me: the splashing water and the highkey left edge of the frame is a bit distracting; the scales could be more prominent...as it is the scorpion is more "featured"; and the composition seems a bit off, though I'm not sure how to do it differently. Interesting take on the theme :)
