I think I agree with you about the shoes Mark.

The guy's shoes were actually solid black colored, but a little more detail on them would be good. In the full size version of this, you can see slightly more detail...but they are still pretty dark.

Also, I wanted to expose this to get a blue sky. Some other shots I took (spot metered on the tightrope walker himself) rendered more detail on him, but a nearly white sky. So I had to make a choice...and everyone knows how I feel about color ;)
