What an awesome shot. I'm only going 4 out of 5 on Relevance because my first response is Heavy, not necessarily Weight, but other wise perfect. I love construction equipment, and this is a unique way of seeing it. Did you ever step further to the left to put a separation between the shovel and the chain-treads, thus hiding the light behind the excavator?

Eerie shot. No distraction apart from that light "flatline" already mentioned. Great shot.

Thanks! Flatline, I did move the other way to block the light (but with the shovel more in front of the tread) but those were vertical shots and I liked the horizontal more. I was shooting with a mini-tripod on the ground, which was awkward, so I didn't try too many different angles.

It's awesome. Getting such accurate color rendition in a night shot takes serious skill. The result is really nice.
