Very nice shot. The extensive "weathering" (deep wrinkles) around his eyes is very interesting especially when contrasted to the lower degree of wrinkles on most of the rest of his face. Very high marks!

I've seen this face before, who is this? I was taught that cowboys never want their hats cropped. This is from some real cowboy photographers. I've also seen this technique done by non-cowboy photographers and they think it's ok. I live in cowboy country. . . so you know how I feel.

Unless you visit the San Fernando Valley (in Los Angeles county), you probably don't know this fella. He's not an actor. I appreciate your thoughts on the crop of his hat, but I ain't gonna hang my hat on that "rule."
