I understand hat the formations are caused by exposure to natural elements, but I think it's more of a landscape shot and not really a fit for this theme.
It is lovely though.

This would be a great picture if the theme were clouds. I would have loved to see more of the rocks.

like the darker colors in the sky but otherwise it is to light for me

Wonderful landscape and I assume you're after weather here more than 'weathered.' Semantics really I guess.

I love the southwest. The photo, to me, says "weather" (vs. "weathered"), although all the rock formations certainly have been weathered. Seems to be a bit of noise on the image.

Although I know they're weathered this photo doesn't tell me that.. For me this is a cloud/distance shot. Also the colours seem a little skewed.

This is a beautiful photo, but I don't sense "weathered" when I look at it. The clouds seem to be the main focus here.

Beautiful!!

The clouds are constantly moving and traveling, while the landscape sits for eons changing and eroding very slowly in geological time.

Nathan,I still like this.
To me this is an extreme example of weathering.
Rocks to sand.
