The starkness of the photo draws me in immediately. I'm debating if I would rather see a horizontal version of this, but something tells me that might take away from the photo's uniqueness. Either way, I really like the simple, minamalist feeling going on here.

The composition is good, and it's obviously about water, but ultimately the water is too monochromatic. It's too flat. I wonder if color might have benefited this. You might consider burning some detail back into the shot.
