I think this may have worked better with a bit more detail, and a little more exposure.

This one certainly conveys water to me, but I think that it could use a little more detail (and maybe color) in the stranded kelp on the beach. There's a zen composition going on here, but I think it might have more impact with slightly higher contrast (and simultaneously, more detail).
