I like this interpretation of the theme. The sprays of water bring a lot of motion to the photograph. While the speaker is a bit of a distraction, I understand the limitations of shooting in a concert venue. Good work.

I'm impressed that you got that kind of detail considering the lighting at most concerts. The only criticism I really have is that you can't see the singer's face.

This is a great, unexpected but perfectly relevant shot for the theme. My only suggestion would be a bit tighter crop. I find myself a little distracted by the space above the performer's head with the sound/heat/whatever panel.

Thanks for the comments. I wish I could've captured his face, too...unfortunately, I could only get off this one shot before my camera (and myself) was soaked. :)

i usually find gig photos rather boring. but this shot really has something very special; the energy and momentum that occasionally is present at a gig. very well captured!

pholland - sorry, didn't see this question until now. This guy's name is Steve Rolston, from a band called King Konqueror, but he was performing with a bunch of other Canadian musicians for a big hockey tournament show (all musicians in the tourney).
