Overall, I really enjoy this image. It does speak of decay... although I am not as obviously inundated with the idea of "urban". Powerful image.

I'm not sure why I don't think that seaside scenes should be urban, but they kind of don't seem it to me ... however, I love the tones in this image and the focus (although I would probably have liked the sign to be a little sharper)

I agree about the relevance guys, as I suppose I was a little ambigious with it - I was more hoping the rusty chains and wear and tear of the sign and surrounding ground/wall would be enough to tie in with the subject.
I also thought it would be quite different to have an urban seaside shot!

While I definately see urban decay in this image, there seems to be a strange softness to the image that I'm not a huge fan of.

I would have preferred the sign to be more in focus, but overall a great image with a great impact. Love the contrast of colors.

I think the focus issue is actually the result of the overlay layer I added the image. It was an effect I liked, but obviously I didn't expect it to be everyones cup of tea :)

I like the composition and the contrasting colours. Good work.

this says 'closed beach' more than urban decay and it's very contrasted, it seems. I can see that the water is over the walkway, and it looks dangerous, but it's just not shouting urban decay to me. really looking at this shot. I like it, I really do. The wall on the right makes me believe it's supposed to be a place for pleasure, humans to walk and look out?
