nice capture - i would have liked a tighter crop on the right and left sides as the blurred bricks are a bit of a distraction.

Wish you would have taken a step forward...or cropped... I am totally distracted with the foreground

i see what you were doing with the doorway, but I think it ended up being distracting. I've shot this exact kind of building, and the lighting wasn't easy to deal with.

nice work. However, the foreground being out of focus is a bit disturbing to me.

It's the famous prison in St. Petersbug Russia. I was lucky to get any photo of it let alone one with out the narrow prison slit of a window in the foreground.

Great subject, but I don't like the framing. The foreground doorway is distracting both because of the blurring; and it seems overexposed and too high of contrast. Could you have stepped in a little closer to eliminate that?

This is great!

Now that I've read the comments I wanted to say that I like the blurred foreground.

I really like this photo. I like the sun reflections on the ground and walls.

Nice! Maybe the blur is a bit distracting?

the foreground element seems destracting, the bricks that frame the edges of the photo. Without the hotspots I may have overlooked it more though. Revisit this, kickup some dust, late afternoon with some killer light beams, it could be totally sick.

Sure, ^^^ how about I ask them for the keys to the Kremlin as well? There should be some sort of submit box for a mini description to give context for photos.

Again, this is INSIDE the Prison at the Peter & Paul's Fortress in St. Petersburg Russia. The prison is completely off limits to the public except for what you could see through the tiny slits they had in the outer walls for "windows", the foreground is the edges of that window which could not be avoided. I stuck my hand all the way in the slit and managed to hold my hand still for 4-5 seconds to get this shot. Inside the prison is pretty much darkness and this was the only way I could see inside.

As you can see, the Russians have no interest in keeping up this part of the fortress.
