I think the child needs to feature more prominently for real impact. It is not entirly clear what the setting is or means.

I like the human element of this picture, but the execution makes it difficult for me to grasp what the context is. The wall to the left seems greatly foreshortened, perhaps by a long focal length, so I can't make out what it is. And is that a dump in the background? Seems a nice idea, wish it had expressed that idea with greater impact.
