Very fun shot. I'd like to know the story behind this one.

I think this image would be fun to play with in Photoshop. It is an enjoyable composition, but has many technical and compositional weakness, IMHO (e.g., one could argue about the crop, the tilt, the balance, the point of focus, DOF, hue, chroma and and contrast). I'm not making any of those arguments here because I don't feel like being picky and I'm pleased to see this unusual arrangment of things.

This really makes me wonder why?

That's a lot of chilis! Is this at a chili eating competition or something like that? Or just crazy new modern art?

That looks like a lot of work, I hope you didn't set it all up just for the picture... :-)

Tanja said 592 days ago:

Tanja said 592 days ago:

Thanks for the comments and the feedback :-). No I did not do this arrangement, it was an Art Exhibit at the Smithsonian. I whish it was still there, so I could go back and try to improve my technique with a second shot !

Wonderful relevance! The perspective is unusual as is the material itself. I gave it good scores, but I wish there had been more "intensity" to the colors / lighting.
