It's different... but not too unusual for my taste.

Nicely executed shot, but the for me the perspective is not unusual enough to add particular interest.

Is this a parking lot?

Hummingbird said 540 days ago:

I think it is not the standard way to take this so that makes it unusual to me.

Ana said 540 days ago:

parking garage? I take so many shots from up on parking garages!

I like the lines and suggestion of emptiness this image evokes. I don't find the perspective too unusual, but otherwise high marks.

I wouldn't say that this is *very* unusual but it is a great perspective image and so wonderfully balanced

This image is a bit surreal. I can't tell exactly what the processing (if any) is doing here. Part of this seems to be a negative, part a positive, but that could just be my eye's being fooled. Is that water on the right? The horizon seems to be very deliberately aligned with the top of the railing.

This image is all about precisely alighned geometry. Except that I don't have a real feeling for who might have taken this, the qualities I mentioned could apply to either gorin-images or iron flatline.

Doesn't matter. High marks.

He shoots! He scores! My record is now 3 correct guesses to 87 miserable failures.

@King - Thanks for the detailed comment. There isn;t any real post procesing on this other than to darken the shadows. And yes, you are correct that the top of the railing is precisely aligned with the horizon.

This was created by using a very wide angle (17mm on my D2X which is like 25mm on a standard 35mm) and aiming it at spot that is very close in the foreground (about halfway between the edge of the frame and the 1st stripe of the parking lot).

It IS a very strange perspective, but I guess not too obviously strange as my relevance scores indicate ;)

Jarrett,

You are teaching me to be more observant. I love that.
