Nice closeup of this lizard. Perspective makes you feel like you are standing onthat fence next to him/her.

Jarrett, Now that you mention "fence" I see what you mean, but ya know, I was actually lying on the sidewalk about 3 feet from her/him on a lovely spring day. If it comes through on your monitor, check out the blue hue to his breastplate. Thanks for the comment dude :-)

Matt, this is a Californius Lizardius Muy Commonus. What I mean is, I don't know...but you frequently see them sunning themselves around here abouts. This gal/fella was/is 4 to 5 inches long.

I used the on camera flash and I love that there's a teensy weensy catchlight in the eye. Cool!
