A striking contrast...perhaps too much? To me there's not much detail in the shadows or highlights, but perhaps that was what you were going for.

The swan seems to lack detail, but I like the motion.

I like the dark background and the detail found there as well as the composition. The blown out whites hurt. With detail in the whites it would have been a spectacular image instead of just a good one.
