You're right...this shot was tough. VERY bright sun 'out there' and very dark shade where I was standing. I did the best I could!

Overall I think this is a really nice shot - but low marks for technique because its far too underexposed in my opinion (and I don't think its my screen!) :)

I do see what everyone is saying, and I agree..however...any brightening I did turned out looking fake and leaving halos all over everything.

I don't find the perspective all that unusual, but the structure is interesting, as is the geometry. The contrast is a bit flat to my eye. I look forward to reading more about this shot.
