the bottle tree? I think I've seen shots of something similar before, but not from this perspective.

On the back roads of Princeton, close to the canal route is this very strange phenomenon. As I was shooting it, a voice called to me from across the wide, two lane road... "Hey! Do you know what that is?" I removed my eye from the camera, only to find an older gentleman, who appeared to have just finished a stroll along the canal. I walked across the road and subsequently answered him in the negative. He proceeded to tell me that a few of these had popped up around western central Jersey, in recent years. He continued saying, that it was his understanding that these "trees" have their roots (pun intended) in the occult and are "planted" in areas to evoke supernatural forces... I found this all to be fascinating and had to make this known.
