Unfortunately this doesn't quite work for me. The idea's pretty good, however in my opinion there are a number of things that could have improved it.

1) I think the main subject is slightly too central and would have been better placed slightly more to the top right hand corner. On saying that, the cast shadow wouldn't have filled as much of the image with the lighting as it was.

2) The image needs a bit more saturation to give the glove a bit more punch.

3) From what I can see, the whole image looks not quite sharp enough.

I do like the way the shadow is cast towards the bottom corner, and maybe taking it a bit later in the day could have lengthened the shadow, allowing the glove to be placed more to the corner. As I say a good try, but doesn't quite make it for me.
