I guess many would consider this subject "ugly"...although I don't ;) Unfortunately, there seems to be a significant amount of comporession artifacts throughout the shot, particularly noticeable around the edges of the gray tanks and green pipes.

Yes. Though maybe haze isn't the right name. Exhaust, pollution, haze.....whatever. This was taken at a sour gas processing plant, and those tanks and pipes give off an incredible amount of hot exhaust fumes.

Unless you are viewing something different than me. You should see there is no blurring or artifacts towards the bottom of the image, because the fumes are rising.
