I wouldn't find it ugly in the first place, but it does look beautiful in your interpretation. Very nice.

It's one of those things...like power poles. Most people find them ugly on their own. While I don't find man-made stuff like light fixtures ugly per se, I thought this was a fairly un-aesthetic, boring, and ugly security light with no real style to it. However, a multi-minute long exposure in dense blowing fog turns it into something pretty neat!

I think this is a great interperatation of the theme. Ugly lamp post made to look quite beautiful and abstract even.
