The background seems a bit over-saturated, but I love the subject and the DOF.

This is probably one of my favorite shots, ever, because I did nothing to enhance anything. It's right out of the camera. To desaturate the background, I would have taken away from what I saw that day. Stark beauty in the ugly.

I am even more impressed after reading your comments. I was thinking this was an HDR image or something. Relevance is very high IMHO. Dead and/or rotting vegetation is ugly.
