Like some others, I have difficulty describing most natural things as ugly...naked mole rats, maybe. This is strangely beautiful, with a delicate light defining sensuous curves. Ver nice.

I like the composition. Is it a dead bird or a fish or a squid? But is it ugly? No in my opinion.

Thanks for the comments everyone, this is a small squid my wife caught for dinner off the Bundegi Jetty in Exmouth, Western Australia. For those that haven't caught squid before you have to always ensure they're pointing away from you as they shot ink out as the last line of defence and it stains big time. We caught a couple of squid and it's tastes great on the BBQ with a nice glass of white wine.
