In other words, I am not sure the feet add anything to the twisted cord, so maybe the cord alone should have been the focused on...

Well,it's funny...when biolarzen wrote the theme, he left it wide open for other definitions of "twisted."
I thought this was not only literally twisted, but 'crazy' twisted also!
Crazy!
So, to answer you, the feet, the cord....all a composition of twisted!
(and not to be taken seriously, and I'm deranged!)

This makes a statement and now I'm attempting to figure our what the statement means. On the surface, this is a whimsical photo. I can imagine a teenager lying on her back, feet propped on the wall, playin idly with the phone cord while yakking on the telephone.

After that, it gets odd. Why the color shift between feet? Why the noisy quality to the image?...telephone camera? The flash is very close to the lens, so the camera is small. The extra toes almost come as no surprise.

Print it five feet by five feet and sell this in a contemporary art gallery for $7,500.

My first thought was the 6 fingered man on the movie, The Princess Bride....but these are feet....and I counted 7 toes.....so there goes my comparison....but very twisted anyhow...high marks for that....and if they're real, then that's even better!
