My guess: Tracy, under the influence of Mark. I think Mark is also under the influence of Tracy. We are seeing different work from both of them.
If this isn't Tracy, my apologies. It's almost certainly not her work because my guesses are usually way off the mark.
Simple rope, that great tool, is probably one of the most highly relevant of subjects for this theme. This understated photo is well done except for the apparent lack of sharpness on the right and the lack of shadow detail, which I find unnecessary unless there is something very distracting in the upper left that you are hiding. If this were shot against a black background, that would be another thing.

I would have loved to have seen this completely in focus. Great texture.

Ah King, you are very perceptive, but I posted my last image 2 days ago and I was hoping that you would discover it, you haven't yet. I figured that this was Mark's and even before I read your DOF SOAPBOX stand I felt that if it had all been in focus the image would have been stronger, sorry Mark. :-)

Great lighting and texture, and I like the composition too. To bad you didn't post it earlier.

Dammit!
I have been trying to do just a bit more still life and as usual, I struggle. And King, yes I have been influenced by Tracy's work among other things. But what is so frustrating is HOW you and Tracy can tell this 'might' be from me! Dammit! It's a rope, no human element in it. I SPECIFICALLY cropped it without my hand in the image so that there was no human element.
Tracy tells me that even as a thumbnail, she knew it was mine. HOW? No human element, no black and white (I DID want to turn it bw, but didn't just because I'm trying to expand my view) so how the heck can anyone even think it would be mine?)
One of my personal critics has been after me for a while to try still life/landscapes, but I have not done so. Her thinking is that it will expand my human shots, my first true love in this craft. But after looking at Tracy's work as of late, I have been inspired to try it. And then I get a little 'hehe' factor thinking no one will know that it's my stuff. And I like it that way for many reasons, one of them being I just can't seem to do still life very well. And yes King it was shot against a black background and yes, the dof is something I wanted to do.
Then the two of you say, 'Oh that's Mark's stuff.'
Dammit!

This is very relevant, but doesn't really have a lot of impact for me.

Mark, I truly had no idea this was yours and you and King are two people that I can usually guess before I rate.

Anna I love you!

Mark,
It doesn't have a dominant rectilinear aspect, so it can't be Jarrett's. It doesn't have a child-like,life-affirming whimsy, so it can't be George's. It has a laid-back, country atmosphere and a rope, so it could be Tracy's.
It has a graceful, zen-like composition that speaks of deep concentration and appreciation for form, line and design, so it could be Mark's.

King, thanks for the explanation of how you deduced that this may be one of mine.

This is nice. I love the dark background, and the lighting.
