A twisted plant for sure both in structure and what it does. I'm assuming this is a flytrap of some sort?

Hello folks. Thanks for the comments. I am new to the group and this is the first picture I've uploaded.

This plant is indeed a pitcher plant, though exactly what type I'm not sure. I took it at the Yuminoshima ("Dream Island") Tropical Greenhouse in Tokyo Bay. (It's called Dream Island in reference to the huge area of reclaimed land that was built up from Tokyo garbage about 20-30 years ago. A huge leisure complex was built on top of it and scientists say that when the next big quake hits the whole island will most probably liquify in a few seconds and kill everyone there.)

But anyway, this plant was one of about a hundred various carniverous plants in a small, damp greenhouse outside. There was a really cool dead specimen that they had cut open to show the hundreds of insect "skeletons" that were inside it.
