I see a turn, but not really a lot of twisting.

I think the colour and lighting are great, but it sure is a lot of blur.

I get the feeling a wider DOF might have accentuated the twist more, but I also like the feeling that the shallow focus gives to the shot. Nice one.

This is really lovely, quite beautiful actually. The juxtaposition between the gentle green folds and the amber-lit spikes is phenomenal - great eye! At first I thought the shallow depth of field was a diservice, but at closer inspection it helps it tremendously. Congratulations, this is a great shot!

I like this. The idea, colours and composition are all pretty cool. Just wish there was a little more in focus. But I like it anyway.

Thank you for the kind comments. I always find it interesting that some people are a fan of small DOF and others a larger DOF. Perhaps I am in the minority, but to me a small DOF allows you to accentuate certain portions of the image. It also emphasizes the small size. If everything were in focus, the image would be boring, and the background distracting.
