so many had the same idea, uh? :) i do have to say from the other spikes this one says alot more twistet..*high relevance!
really like the compo too!
just don't really get what you did to the top part while editing..starting to give a fake kinda look. What where your intentions?

Great light. I don't think it is, but this looks an awful lot like a Dennis Rogers special (and that's a compliment). I wish the top of the twist was was also in focus, but that's a very minor quibble.

@Tanja: I did quite a bit of contrast adjustment in post-processing and I think the very shallow DOF along with some possible camera shake contributed to the look at the top of the wire.
