Hi King,
thank you for your long comment on my picture.
Well I'm not the best photographer and I think there are many people like you out there with a good eye. Sometimes I don't see wrong things in my images until people tell me they are "wrong".
But I'm trying to get better...
Thank you very much.

Manuel,
This is a very good photograph. The things I pointed out were minor and were not "wrong."
Hablas espanol? Buena suerte!
Or do you speak German?

I feel like the subject is the tree in the background, but the foreground framing tree gets in the way.

You're pushing the relevance here IMHO. The tree framing the scene is really being used as just that, a frame. It's not central to the scene, which appears to be the tree across the field in the distance. Of course the problem with that is it's so far away, it's not really featured, which leaves me wondering what exactly this photo is about.
I see where you were going. I'm just not sure you got there.

I think this is about the sixth b/w tree image in a row that I've rated prior to posting my own. What is it about this theme that is inspiring folks to post b/w landscapes (which I love, btw)?
I know this is a color image, but it has a b/w feel to it. In fact, I think the small amount of color I see, primarily in the sky, is a bit distracting.
This is beautifully composed except for a few minor things, such as that part of the road(?) that enters bottom left and quickly leaves the frame and the branch at the upper right that is just tangent with the top of the frame---I'd try to get in within the frame, if possible.
