Sorry, but this shot is not for me.. Colours and composition a little wierd

This looks like the mother tree, at the top of the hill, is calling back to the baby tree, at the bottom of the hill, to catch up. As such, this is delightful. The sky is a bit dreary, though.

@king ... thank's and welcome back .. I need your advise here ;). About the tonal, it's my experimental tone :), you can find a real tone at my another picture here about "trees"

Upie
I know you've posted at least two images, because I've rated and commented on both. Is there another one I should look at?
I'll be happy to help in any way I can. What exactly do you want to have my opinion on?

@king .. Yes #244, thank's for all your comments and critics for my photo's here. It motivated me to make a better photo :).

@King:
I happened to come to this image, and having read the exchanges was just wondering if it had slipped your mind to come back and comment some more (as you indicated you would). Maybe you communicated privately? I'm just curious since I also want to hear your thoughts about this image.

@Uvikidd:
King sums up my thoughts on the image quite well, mother/baby tree and all :-)

Thanks for the reminder, George!

@Uvikidd,
Having looked at the other, lovely photo again, with the "real tone," and this one again, I still think that the cyan sky detracts, mainly because it is darkest at the horizon. The sky appears to be cloudy and the color doesn't fit, not does the general cyan color cast add to the rest of the image.

I would consider fixing the sky, one way or another, including replacing it with a stock sky image (a respected tradition in landscape photogaphry since the end of the 19th century). Here's an example of a quite ordinary photo in which the sky is totally replaced with one of my personal stock images:
http://www.kingdouglas.com/My-Neighborhood/pages/Lowes.htm

Say the sky were neutralized and no longer detracting from the image, there are some lovely elements--delicate ferns, yellow flowers--that could be enhanced and so contribute more to the fairyland qualities of this image. It is also possible, although a bit more difficult, to bring out just a bit more detail in the trees themselves.

Hope this helps,

King
