This image was made at a veteran's cemetary in Kaneohe, Hawaii. Instead of tombstones, placs are in the ground. Flowers mark the site of each grave. The effect is to make the cemetary look more like a park than a cemetary. The background mountains are the Ko'olau Mountains. The sun came out from the clouds in late afternoon creating the contrast between the palms and the mountains behind them.
