Great! With playtoys you make a real war tendency. All of 5 from me.

apoc said 443 days ago:

nice idea although the lighting doesnt quite work.

KAD_Imaging said 443 days ago:

TOTALLY AWESOME!!! Perfect marks

Interesting how menacing these toys are

pretorious said 443 days ago:

25 from me, I think this is stellar!

Ana said 443 days ago:

Hmm, I mostly like this. That front guy that is blurred is really not adding to the composition, in my opinion.

Lemmingstone said 443 days ago:

I like it but to be honest, I would like it a lot more if the blob/thing wasn't obscuring the guys gun.

Lange said 443 days ago:

Geez, the toy soldier guy does it again! Wonderful composition. The only thing I wonder about is the out-of-focus aspect of the nearest soldier... it can be a little bit distracting because it is so large a part of the frame. But I really like this shot!

Lemmingstone said 443 days ago:

Hey Tyron - Just want to provide a clarification. I looked at this in the thumbnail and can now see clearly that the "blob/thing" I mentioned is another soldier. For some reason I didn't see this first time round. Still good scores however but I wanted to let you know that I get it :)

Blimey. They're toys but I feel like I'm there. This is perfectly shot. The out of focus guy to the foreground makes this like a reportage shot. Nice one!

Tyron, very realistic picture! Good work!

Magician378 said 442 days ago:

Thanks all. Nice way to start a morning. =)

Magician378, this is really a wonderful image. I happen to like the foreground blur of the front army guy. How did you do the sun/cloud combination? Very effective.

Magician378 said 442 days ago:

Pursang, the image was composed of 2 shots. The toys were actually set up like that by my son. He left them on the kitchen's island from the night before.

When I started my day, they were just waiting for me to capture. The background is from a shoot a couple days prior. I just merged the 2 and that's what I came up with.

kadenajack said 442 days ago:

I'm afraid I agree with apoc. With the sun in that position, the sides of the soldiers and the tank we can see should be in shadow. A different background, without the sun in it, would have been totally believable

pursang said 442 days ago:

Magician378, thanks for the explanation. For me, this type of shot does not have to be exact in terms of shadowing, etc. Toys are fantasy and there's no reason for me to have them placed into reality.

Magician378 said 442 days ago:

Thanks Pursang.

Flatline said 442 days ago:

Well done!

Magician378 said 442 days ago:

Thanks for the overwhelming responses. Makes me want to go take pictures again. Been in a bit of a slump lately but this is a nice pick-me-up.

I'm sorry I didn't get to rate this. I love it. It looks like all the toy soldiers came to life.
