This is an easy photo to like and it's relevant, but beyond that it doesn't really stand out for me. I find the foreground distracting, especially the taller plant right in the middle of the image. I do like the expressions of the the cows and the image has some charm but it doesn't live up to it's potential.

It is difficult to judge a single image. I went your site and viewed your other images (you have some amazing images!) and when I returned to this image I saw it in a new light as part of a larger collection and have a greater appreciation for it. The plant in the middle still bothers me, but I retract my statement that this image doesn't live up to it's potential.

Russ, no problem. You're allowed to not like it. :) About the plant, it's really tough to "pose" these types of animals, so you pretty much take them as they come and try to do the best with the composition as it presents itself. In any event, thanks for your honest appraisal, and thanks also for going to my site and checking out my photos. That was very nice of you! :)
