This is certainly an interesting take on the theme. I am not sure I would ever get "three" if I didn't know it was the theme, but it is an interesting idea.
(As for the technique, I think it would be worth reshooting this with a lot more light...)

A few weeks ago I had gotten a new camera and the files kept disappearing from the memory cards. They would be there I would try to download to the comp, I would get a read error and the files would be POOF gone from the card! As you can imagine I was upset and perplexed.
I spent many hours running around just filling up several cards with shots of anything just to figure out why the files were disappearing. This was one of those shots. Taken in existing light at about 1 or 2 AM. No thought or planning, I was literally just running around shooting everything from my refrigerator to my living room furniture.
I was going through and deleting all those files yesterday when I noticed that this shot just happened to have a lot of three's in it so I just decided to post it.
I am still not sure why the camera was losing files but it appears to have been a bad card reader. The camera's manufacturer convinced me to only upload the files straight from the camera and never through a card reader. Since I stopped using the card reader I have not lost any files. I never had the problem with this card reader and my other camera only the new one. I lost a shoot that I had gotten up at 4 am to do...I was really angryabout it too. At least it wasn't a wedding or something that you only get one chance to do right, I would have been besides myself if that had happened.

Wish there was just a touch tighter DOF on the 33... other than, great idea and pretty well executed. I like the tones.

I think this would've been more effective had it been black and white.
