There was very little post processing on this image actually.

This is a long exposure of oil rigs in the Santa Barbara Channel viewed from on top of the bluffs at Rincon Point.

The fact that this scene looked so unreal in real life is what motivated me to pull off the freeway and photograph it....even after a long day in downtown Los Angeles and (at that point) a two hour drive ;)

After reading through my comment TWICE (thanks "refresh" button) it seems defensive....I don't intend it that way at all.

I appreciate your critique Shane and just decided to take the opportunity to provide some background information.

Being defensive (not that you were) is perfectly fine. I think everyone goes thru a "WHAT THE HECK" moment when they see comments on their pictures that might not be what they think. It's human nature and it's all good. :)
