Well, this is certainly one of the only shots posted that makes me say, "what the....?"

JIMJIM said 260 days ago:

I think I know this..
(Is it Royal De Luxe going to england ??)
Difficult to say this is not RELEVANT ;-)
I like the image and the balance between the BIG object and the kid but compitionally I would have framed this without the statue on left side (a bit disturbing) to make it more STRAIGHT !
but High rating anyway !

Beamer said 260 days ago:

WOW great find, is this an accident or some sort of "art"? Either way it sure looks "Unexpected". I wish the framing was more open to show more of the context.

Thanks Ana.
JIMJIM you hit the nail on the head. Its is badly framed, and I could have cropped a little, but I didi at least manage to exclude teh crowds surrounding the rocket
Beamer - see above

hehe.. nice 1.

i just wish the kids was a bit lighter, as he helps make the photo so good!

where in England was this?

stolenlife said 259 days ago:

pete this was in London. The best thing (for me) about the kid is the spiderman suit on - I would have left it colour, but the harsh light and the deep shadow hid the effect anyway

pete said 259 days ago:

where in London? and was this art? or an accident. i dont remember reading about this

stolenlife said 259 days ago:

Sorry Pete I didnt realise you wanted specifics. This was at Waterloo Place, just down the Mall from Buckingham Palce, and was, as JIMJIM said, Royal De Luxe doing the Sultans Elephant show in May 06. This was the rocket which delivered the sultan to his elephant, and was the start of a three day street performance involving a 40 foot tall mechanical elephant. It was very cool

Jules Verne lives! High marks.
